Refrigeration Sensor Can Take The Cold
A new temperature sensor, designed specifically for refrigerated rooms, provides accurate readings over the range -452 to 500°F (-260 to 260°C). It includes an ammonia-resistant 316 stainless steel RTD, a moisture-proof connection box, and a 4 to 20 mA transmitter. The transmitter is epoxy-potted to protect its electronics from condensation damage and operates
in ambient temperatures down to -13°F (-25°C).
Potential applications include cold storage warehouses, frozen food facilities, and other large freezer or refrigerator systems.
Sensor lengths range from 2" to 48" (50 to 1220 mm). The RTD probe may be mounted in thecenter of its connection box (for through-the-wall installation) or at the end of the box (for flush mounting).
Optional calibration of a sensor and transmitter as a matched pair effectively cancels sensor tolerance, improving accuracy by up to 70%.
