Special Calibration
Minco offers several levels of accuracy for certain models. These models have a reference in the Special Cal. column. Special calibration involves matching a sensor to a transmitter. The transmitter is calibrated to the sensor which eliminates more error.
Specifying exact accuracy can be misleading for transmitters, due to sensor accuracy and temperature range. For this reason the accuracy of the transmitters has not been entered into the table. For instance, if a transmitter's accuracy is specified for a certain range and compared with a model which is uses a matched transmitter and sensor, the stand alone transmitter would appear to be better. However, sensor tolerance is not included in the accuracy of the lone transmitter and is included with the matched transmitter and sensor. The sensor tolerance will make the accuracy worse when the combined accuracy of the lone transmitter and another sensor are considered. Output
The output specifies the type of signal that the transmitter outputs. Minco's transmitters are loop powered and most output a 4 to 20 mA signal. Minco does make several transmitters which have a different output. Some output a 1 to 5 VDC signal and another outputs a 0 to 1 mA signal. Minco will design a custom output if you require a signal different from one of these. Back to Top
Rangeable
Some transmitters are rangeable. This means that the temperature span of the transmitter can be adjusted for the user, as opposed to a fixed transmitter which can only be set at the factory for a specified range. Some transmitters are field rangeable and can be adjusted on site. Back to Top
